About Pipsnacks
Pipsnacks is a Brooklyn snack company that brother and sister Jeff and Jen Martin founded in 2012. Its signature product, sold as Pipcorn, is popcorn made from small heirloom corn kernels. The Martins pitched in Season 6, Episode 9, asking for $200,000 for 10% of the business, a $2 million valuation. They received matching offers and chose Barbara Corcoran. The final deal kept the headline terms and added a provision that gave Corcoran a share of money the founders took out of the company until her investment was repaid. Business Insider reported the terms and that the deal was finalized soon after the episode. Pipcorn's selling point was the tiny heirloom kernel itself, which set it apart from ordinary popcorn. After the show, the brand's sales grew quickly. Corcoran has called it a favorite among her investments. In recent years the business has gone through ownership and branding changes. Pipcorn was combined with another snack brand under a new parent company, UpSnack Brands, and the product line now carries the Pip's Heirloom Snacks name. For that reason this page lists the company as acquired. It is still selling through its own website and an Amazon storefront. Corcoran's current stake after the merger is not public. The merger, the rebrand and the sales growth are covered in the update below.

Pipsnacks (Pipcorn) Shark Tank update: is it still in business?
Pipsnacks was started in 2012 by Brooklyn siblings Jeff and Jen Martin. Its main product is Pipcorn, a popcorn made from heirloom corn with very small kernels. They pitched in Season 6, in an episode that aired November 14, 2014, and asked for $200,000 for 10%, a $2 million valuation, according to SUCCESS. Both Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjavec offered to meet their price. The siblings chose Corcoran. Business Insider reported that the deal was finalized that November: $200,000 for 10%, plus a 10% draw whenever the founders took money out of the company, until Corcoran earned back her investment. Corcoran told Business Insider that Pipsnacks was her favorite Shark Tank investment. SUCCESS reported that annual sales grew from under $200,000 to more than $3 million in 2015. The company has changed hands since then. In October 2024, a Business Wire release announced that Pipcorn was being combined with the snack brand Spudsy under a new company, UpSnack Brands, and Nosh covered the deal. In October 2025, Pipcorn rebranded as Pip's Heirloom Snacks, according to Business Wire and Food Business News. Is Pipcorn still in business? Yes, under the Pip's Heirloom Snacks name. On October 14, 2026, pipsnacks.com was live, and the Pipcorn store on Amazon had listings.
